Dane Waldron CFP® - Managing Partner, David Gibson CFP®- Chairman
David and Dane started in business together in 1998 at Paterson Financial Services, which was the financial planning arm of Garrott and Garrott accountants. David’s background prior to this was in the financial services industry and management which he began in 1987, whilst Dane had a background in accounting, taxation and SMSF administration from 1990 prior to moving into financial services in 1996.
After joining forces in 1998, as business owners and Principals they built a successful business that operated throughout all regions of the State, as well as receiving both business and personal awards and acumen during such time.
As well as personal experience, David has obtained extensive educational qualifications including a Diploma of Financial Planning through Deakin University in Victoria and holds the highest designation offered by the Financial Planning Association – Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Dane has a Bachelor of Business Degree through the University of Tasmania (Dean’s Honour Role), Diploma of Financial Planning (Deakin) and also holds CFP designation.
David lives in Launceston and is married to Jenny with has three children - Jack, Kate and Anna. Dane also lives in Launceston and is married to Tina with two children - Oliver and Chloe.
Brian Kearns MAppFin AFP® - Senior Partner
Brian graduated from Queens University of Belfast with a degree in Economics and postgraduate Diploma in Finance. Since moving to Launceston in 2004 where he was employed with David and Dane, he has completed professional qualifications through the Financial Services institute of Australasia (now Kaplan), including a Masters in Applied Finance. Brian is married to Julie and has two daughters, Sienna and Harriett.
Anthony Gibson CFP® - Senior Partner
Anthony has completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Melbourne and has also completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), and will soon commence studies to become a Certified Financial Planner. Anthony has over 8 years experience in the Financial Planning industry. Outside of work, Anthony keeps busy playing various sports and loves spending time with his young family.
At Godfrey Pembroke we continually look to challenge ourselves and strive for improvement. As a result of this we have decided to streamline our back office functions which will help us to enhance a proactive service offering to you. David, Dane and Brian often say that they do not ‘run’ our business, rather they benefit from the processes put in place and managed by those around them.
Melissa Clarke - Operations Manager
Melissa assists the partners with management of a range of issues across practice operations and also provides guidance and support to the broader team. She has a specialisation in investment management administration and frequently assists with complex Estate issues.
Rachel Owens - Administration Manager
Rachel is responsible for overseeing the client services administration team. She is an experienced administrator with previous experience in an office management and training role including HR management.
Rachel also works closely with Anthony as his Client Relations Manager.
Sharon Gill -Senior Client Relations Manager
Sharon has previously held overall responsibility for co-ordination of all of the specialised back office functions. In her role as Senior Client Relations Manager she works closely with Brian in the provision of ongoing services to clients.
Scott Zeuschner AdDipFS(FP) - Associate
Scott has extensive and specialised knowledge across all areas of financial strategy and associated compliance. He works closely with advisers, Brian and Anthony in particular, to deliver advice outcomes to clients.
Justin Wilson - Associate
Justin has completed Diplomas in both Financial Planning and Management and has also achieved Senior Associate membership of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). He has over 11 years of experience in the Financial Planning industry and prior to that worked in the field of domestic and commercial insurance for 14 years
Outside of work Justin enjoys socialising with family and friends, Taekwondo and Mountain Biking.
Tori Dudman - Client Relations Assistant
Tori works closely with Dane in providing ongoing administration services for his clients. Tori has worked in the industry for a number of years with previous experience in Accounting and Financial Planning businesses.
Shelley O'Connor - Client Relations Assistant
Shelley provides support primarily to Brian and has an extensive background in property management and banking.
Tayla King - Investment and Insurance Operations
Tayla focusses on both investment and insurance operations, liaising with advisers and the Client Relations team to assist with the implementation of investment and insurance advice.
Jessica Curtis and Maddy Whitney - Administration Assistants
Jessica and Maddy provide administrative support to the broader team and will often be the first point of contact for clients who either come in or call.
