After all, what better way to make the most of your commute than by gaining insights and honing your skills?<\/p>\n

With that in mind, we\u2019ve put together five of our favourite business podcasts aimed at owners, managers and entrepreneurs of all kinds. It\u2019s a mix of inspiration and information from at home and abroad.<\/p>\n

The Hospopreneurs<\/h3>\n

If you work in hospitality \u2013 from front-of-house all the way to the back-end supply chain, there\u2019s something for you in James Henderson\u2019s\u00a0Hospopreneurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each episode is an informative Q&A with a diverse range of industry figures \u2013 from craft brewers to catering companies through to app developers and legal experts.<\/p>\n

And with 70-plus episodes under the belt, there\u2019s a lot of insights, nuggets and downright interesting stories to delve into.<\/p>\n

Henderson has a focus on innovators and creative types within the industry, which, combined with his informed but not in your face approach to interviewing, results in some fascinating listening. If hospitality is your world,<\/p>\n

Hospopreneurs is a great way to stay on top of the latest trends and significant developments.<\/p>\n

Rework<\/h3>\n

Rework<\/a>, a podcast by the team from Basecamp promises to offer a better way to work and run your business.<\/p>\n

Basecamp, if you\u2019re not familiar, is a remote workforce productivity tool\/way of life espoused by founder Jason Fried, whose book\u00a0It Doesn\u2019t Have to Be Crazy at Work<\/em>\u00a0questions a lot of the \u2018norms\u2019 of modern business, like endless meetings and email chains.<\/p>\n

If cutting through this chatter and focusing on productivity sounds like your cup of tea, you should give Rework a listen.<\/p>\n

With episode titles like \u2018The Open Office\u2019 and \u2018The Worst Performance Review\u2019 along with a sustained focus on remote work as well as the impact of tech and digital on business, this one is well worth a listen.<\/p>\n

How I Built This<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re into your business origin tales, then\u00a0Guy Raz has the podcast for you<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Billed as the podcast that \u2018drives into the stories behind some of the world\u2019s best-known companies\u2019, US-based Raz\u2019s style is both informative and story-driven, resulting in a podcast that makes you feel inspired as you learn.<\/p>\n

Featuring founders including the likes of Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Selina Tobaccowala (Evite) and even James Dyson (Dyson), here\u2019s a podcast that\u2019s got an eye for the entrepreneurial.<\/p>\n

Lady Startup<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re looking for something akin to How I Built This but with more of a local, fem-forward flavour, then\u00a0Lady Startup from Mamamia<\/a>\u00a0is the podcast to get listening to in 2020.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Rachel Corbett, each episode features \u2018some of the most inspiring and successful female entrepreneurs\u2019 with an aim of revealing how they ideated, launched and grew their respective businesses into the successful enterprises they are today.<\/p>\n

Featured speakers include Ronni Kahn (OzHarvest), Kate Morris (Adore Beauty) and Melanie Perkins (Canva).<\/p>\n

Tradies in Business<\/h3>\n

This one does exactly what it says on the tin.\u00a0Tradies in Business<\/a>\u00a0is for tradies, by tradies.<\/p>\n

Hosted by trade-focused financial advisors and business coaches Warrick Bidwell and Nicole Cox, Tradies in Business is all about providing targeted tips and developing skills that are relevant to people who work with power tools.<\/p>\n

From advice on topics like how to avoid problem clients and when to raise your rates through to interviews with industry insiders and external experts on a range of useful topics.<\/p>\n

Equal parts big picture and targeted, practical tips, this one is a must if you run your own trades-based business.<\/p>\n
