David Gibson CFP® and Dane Waldron CFP®
David and Dane are founding partners of our business, Forty Fifty Pty Ltd and following an extensive process of market research selected Godfrey Pembroke as our preferred licensee and partner. The establishment of the business has allowed David and Dane to re-engage with clients and they are looking to continue to elevate this in order to deliver a tailored personalised approach rather than a one size fits all model.
David continues to specialise in strategic advice including retirement planning and broader wealth accumulation strategies with a focus on risk management for businesses, families and individuals. He has extensive experience in dealing with succession planning also, which is of particular importance across our local agricultural industry.
Dane also specialises in strategic advice, retirement planning and wealth accumulation and is a highly respected Self Managed Superannuation specialist. A particular focus for Dane at present relates to assistance for those facing actual or potential redundancy which is unfortunately front of mind for many in the local community at present.
Brian Kearns MAppFin
Brian has worked with David and Dane since 2004 and has operated in a capacity as an investment specialist and adviser since 2006. He became a partner in the business on 1 July 2011. Brian, with the assistance of Melissa Clarke in particular, oversees the research and investment side of our business, which is a critical focus particularly given current domestic and global market conditions. Brian will often be the main point of contact in relation to issues regarding your investment portfolio.
We have worked hard to establish a robust investment process focussing on protecting our clients interests and utilising the significant resources at our disposal. Given the specialist accreditations that we hold we are able to provide advice across the entire investment spectrum including listed and managed investments and derivative securities.
At Godfrey Pembroke we continually look to challenge ourselves and strive for improvement. As a result of this we have decided to streamline our back office functions which will help us to enhance a proactive service offering to you. David, Dane and Brian often say that they do not ‘run’ our business, rather they benefit from the processes put in place and managed by those around them.
Sharon has previously held overall responsibility for co-ordination of all of the specialised back office functions. Sharon and her husband Dom recently had their first child, May, who will be 1 in August.
Maria Breaden will already be familiar to most of you. Maria has been a cornerstone of our service to clients for 11 years. She provides clients with a service of the highest quality through her skill and dedication.
Scott Zeuschner AdDipFS(FP)
Scott has extensive and specialised knowledge across all areas of financial strategy and associated compliance, in our view unparalleled within the industry. In his current role he assumes responsibility for management of our personal insurance business.
Melissa, along with Brian, is responsible for the management and implementation of our investment processes and risk management strategies. As part of the restructure it was vital for Brian that Mel was engaged to work even more closely moving forward and with a highly specialised focus. Mel and Brian will be continuing to work together to deliver proactive investment advice and portfolio management services and as noted above will often be the key contact point in relation to investment matters.
Originally from Victoria, Sarah has settled very well into life in Tasmania and our business. Sarah’s current focus relates to assisting us in managing our new workflow through carefully managed and compliant processes. As part of our broader administration team Sarah will often be a key initial point of contact for clients.
Carly has a number of years experience within the Financial Planning industry which has led to her fitting in extremely well to our business since joining. Carly’s primary focus is to assist David and act as a key contact point for his clients in dealing with any non-advice related matters.
Georgia joined our business to provide support to the broader administration team. Georgia has prior experience in a customer service role and for many of you will be a frequent point of contact. You will often be greeted by Georgia when you come to our office and she believes that she makes the best coffee in Launceston.
Ally has previously worked with us in our previous business and assists us with broader practice management and HR based matters. Ally quite simply removes a significant amount of the management burden that comes with running a business and allows David, Dane, Brian and the broader team to focus entirely on client related matters.
Forty Fifty Pty Ltd is a family business and there will be times where our families may assist with projects and busy periods. Tina Waldron and Jenny Gibson regularly provide support and assistance to our back office and will also from time to time greet you as you come into our business.
